WHAT YOU CAN DO

Our work is supported through the generous contribution of time, talent and resources from the community that is committed to reaffirming our nation’s long tradition of welcoming and settling our newcomers.

AS A VOLUNTEER, YOU CAN

SIMPLY BE A FRIEND to a REFUGEE

• Visit newcomers at their home
• Assist them in-grocery shopping
• Take them to doctors appointment
• Introduce them to your community.
• Tutor a family or child in English or any other subject
• Assist in job searches, job interview preparation and workplace expectations
• Listen and learn about their culture, language, ambitions, and achievements

• Volunteer to assist in the office as an assistant to the case manager
• Volunteer your time and assist as a clerk, providing orientation to refugees work in the donation room
• Donate household items, furniture, bedding, baby items, hygiene products and school supplies.
• Donate your used car with proceedings going towards supporting our clients.
• Encourage others to join us in welcoming and serving our new neighbors.
